Abstract Due to the change from mass production personalized and resulting intrinsic product flexibility, automotive industry, among others, is looking for cost-efficient resource-saving methods combining global just-in-time production. In addition geometric manufacturing additive offers a application rapid prototyping small series in predevelopment. this study, FDM process utilized manufacture tooling draw of sheet metal parts combination with rubber pad forming process. Therefore, variety common AM polymer materials (PETG, PLA, ABS) compared compression tests, which PLA selected be applied as die. For process, relevant processing parameters, i.e., press force cushion hardness, are studied respect depth. The batch examined by optical evaluation using metrological system. scans tool confirm mechanical integrity additively manufactured die thus suitability approach drawing processes, e.g., applications.
